Red Coolabah Burl

Red Coolabah Burl knife block. Approximate block size 1-1/2" square by 6" long. 

This Australian wood, also known as Coolibah,  Flooded Box, and Western Coolibah, is a member of the Eucalyptus family. Featured in the song, "Waltzing Matilda", it is one of the hardest and strongest timbers in the world. NOTE: Small cracks are not unusual in this species and are not considered a defect. We do NOT replace blanks that become damaged during cutting, drillng, trimming, turning, finishing or assembly.
