Want a better forge for bladesmithing, one that’s going to last longer, get hotter, and use less propane than forges on eBay and Amazon? Then this is for you. With a 5″ diameter x 13″ long chamber, the Graham has plenty of room for even the biggest kukri, and hot enough for big billets of damascus. With a blown burner now standard, you have complete control over your atmosphere.
The Graham forge uses Kastolite 50-25 plus cast refractory, cured and baked for 6 hours at 450°F. Ready to use right out of the box and it will last much longer than wool based forges.
We include a bag of Plistix 900f. Although not required for use, this easy-to-apply refractory is painted on the inside of the chamber and improves efficiency. Simply mix with water, wet the chamber with a squirt bottle or wet rag and paint the 900f on.
We also improved the construction level of this forge. With 1/8″ thick stainless tubing, TIG welded end plates, and a tough, cast refractory shell, it’s built to last! Heck, we even managed to make the toolrest stronger.
Includes:
- Forge w/ adjustable sliding tool rest
- 0-20 PSI regulator w/hose connects to 20lb. propane tanks
- New Firestorm 100k BTU blown burner (12VDC powered wall transformer)
- 16 oz Plistix 900F
